About
Hi. I am Chris Lentge. A 36 year old businessman from London. I have a passion for world travel, and have been to some of the most exotic locations in the world. The reason I decided to create this website was because I am the type of person who has spent his whole life being bitten by mosquitoes whilst abroad. Relentlessly. I was fed up of trying out different products that didn’t work, and I realised their were many other people out there who also suffered particularly badly with this problem, and were tired of using the same old products, with the same mediocre results.
So I am not alone in this predicament – there are literally millions and millions of others out there who feel that insects such as mosquitoes literally make a beeline for them. Pre-selecting them for assault over all others in the vicinity, and then biting the hell out of them repeatedly, until it seems, there’s barely anywhere left on their body still to bite.
I used to feel literally persecuted for my apparently sweet-smelling flesh. On one trip I remember camping out in a warm, humid rainforest in Australia and waking up with over 140 bites. Over the next few days I itched all over my body. Continuously. It was a complete nightmare. I tried in vain to smother my entire body in calamine lotion…but to no avail. The itch was relentless. For a full four days I could barely sleep due to the incessant itching and subsequent rash.
So I resolved finally to educate myself about the issue. To become an expert on it and find out the specific biological reason why mosquitoes need to bite humans, and what it is about their bite that causes the unpleasant after-effects.
After researching the subject thoroughly, I learned all about why mosquitoes bite and what can be done to camouflage oneself from their radar, to ‘mask’ one’s own scent as it were, to make yourself invisible to them.
I learned about what it was in the mosquito bite, or rather the saliva of the bite, that created the itch. And what could subsequently be done to neutralise the effects of this saliva.
After learning about, and understanding the underlying scientific reasons for why mosquitoes target a particular individual, and the subsequent bite irritation, I think I have now put together a collection of the most effective, prevention and cure remedies for mosquito bites available on the internet today. At last there is a forum where people who suffer this holiday-ruining menace can go to find the best remedies to eliminate this problem, once and for all.
Now my friends, go forth and travel….
Regards,
Chris
